District and Sessions Judge of Chandigarh Arunvir Vashista was given a warm farewell on his retirement on Friday.

The function was held on the District Court premises in Sector 43 here.

It was attended by all judicial officers along with staff of the court and advocates. Vashista was appointed Chandigarh District and Sessions Judge in November 2022.

During his tenure, the court functioning witnessed major changes with more focus on digitalisation and virtual courts.

He also worked towards streamlining the disposal of traffic challans.
