Jyoti wins dressage event at equestrian fest

Punjab Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian today said that the state government has revived the pristine glory by promoting its rich heritage.

The Minister, who visited the Punjab Equestrian Festival 2.0 at Meadows, Palanpur, to witness Day 2 events, said it was for the first time that a state-of-the-art equestrian ring has been developed. He announced a cash prize of Rs 11,000 each for the Malwai Gidha and Jindua performing artistes.

Day 2 competitions witnessed spirited participation and exceptional performances across all categories. In the Preliminary Dressage (Open) event, Jyoti secured both the first and third positions, while Yuvraj and Keshav claimed second and fourth places.

The excitement continued in the Pole Bending events. In GP1, Rajpal Singh (PPS) clinched first place, followed by Abhayuday Singh (PPS) and Sahibinderdeep Singh (PAP). In the GP2 category, Loveinder Singh (PPS) emerged victorious, with Sudip (Shiv Shakti) securing second and Samarpartap Singh (PPS) finishing third. The GP3 event saw Suhirad (PPS) take the top spot, Adil securing second, and Navneet and Arav jointly placing third.
