Panchkula, December 17
For the second year in a row, Satish Kadian was elected president of the Panchkula District Bar Association today, defeating his rival Jagpal by a narrow margin of 12 votes. He polled 441 votes.
Sidharth was elected vice-president by a margin of 318 votes, defeating Sonia who polled 245 votes.
Ketan was elected secretary by a margin of just six votes while his opponents Kulvir and Shamiksha polled 376 and 113 votes, respectively.
The post of treasurer was won by Shammi who got 637 votes against 234 votes of his rival Dhiraj.
Returning officer Dinesh Kumar Jangra said 83.34 % of the 1,045 electors cast their vote in the elections. — TNS
