A five-wicket spell from Karan Kaila (5/18) helped Plaza Zone log an eight-wicket win over Terrace Zone during the UTCA Senior Men’s One Day Tournament.

Batting first, Terrace Zone was restricted 64/6 at one stage. However, an unbeaten 70-run innings by Arpit Singh helped the side to achieve 169 before getting bowled out in the 39th over.

In reply, Plaza Zone chased down the target in just 22 overs. Nehal Pajni (56), Gaurav Puri (53) and Vikas Sangwan (46) were the main contributors.

City judoka bags Asian Cup bronze

Saiyam Choudhary, a student of Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22, bagged laurels for the country by winning a bronze medal in the -50kg category of judo at the Cadet Asian Cup in Taipei. The 17-year-old had earlier represented India at the World Judo Championships-2024 in Peru.
