Anti-Narcotics Cell, sub-inspector Bhim Singh arrested Rahul (30), a resident of Narad village in Kaithal, for allegedly smuggling heroin. Rahul was staying as a tenant at Bitna Siudi of Kalka.
The officials said the police received a tip-off that Rahul will be coming to a spot near Radhe Shyam Gaushala with heroin.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell team reached the spot and surrounded the accused. On search, the police recovered 6.95 gram of heroin and Rs 1,500 from him.
A case has been registered under Section 21 of NDPS Act at the Kalka police station.
The accused was produced in a local court and sent in two-day police remand.
