The open mela ground/land at Kalagram and the land adjoining the Baithak premises in Mani Majra has been allowed to be used for holding social events, functions and weddings by the UT on a payment. The fee for booking will depend upon the area, which ranges from Rs 25,000 to Rs 3 lakh for different spaces.

Located on the Chandigarh-Panchkula main road, this venue is easily accessible from Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali and can accommodate large gatherings for outdoor functions. The bookings will be made online and managed by CITCO through its booking portal www.citcochandigarh.com. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
