Kalka MLA Inaugurates Baisakhi Fest at Pinjore

Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma inaugurated the two-day Baisakhi Fair at Yadavindra Gardens in Pinjore, where she attended the event as the chief guest. The opening day saw vibrant participation from school children who showcased their talents in a range of competitions, bringing a festive and colourful spirit to the celebrations.

Competitions included rangoli, extempore speaking, face painting, poster making, group dance, slogan writing, handwriting, group singing, painting, best out of waste and mehndi design. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from children and visitors alike, turning the fairgrounds into a hub of creativity and celebration.

A cultural highlight of the day was a high-energy performance by renowned Punjabi singer Gurtaj, which added to the festive fervour and drew large crowds.

Numerous food and consumer goods stalls have also been set up, offering visitors a wide variety of culinary delights and shopping options. The fair will continue tomorrow with more school competitions, exhibitions and a cultural evening scheduled.
