The police have arrested the prime accused in the Kalka murder case.
Sharing details, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Srishti Gupta said the police received information about a young man found lying in a pool of blood in Tibbi Mohalla, Kalka, on September 10. An Emergency Response Vehicle, the local police team and the Scene of Crime unit immediately reached the spot.
The investigation was assigned to Sub-Inspector (SI) Jile Singh.
The house owner informed police that the deceased, Kuldeep Singh, 25, son of the late Sarvesh Kumar and a native of Etah district, Uttar Pradesh, had been living in a rented accommodation for the past six months. He shared the house with three others, who were later identified as Anil, Bunty and Mohanlal.
In her complaint, the victim’s mother alleged that due to a monetary dispute, the three roommates – Anil, Mohanlal and Bunty – attacked her son with sharp weapons and killed him.
Based on her statement, Kalka police registered a case of murder and launched a manhunt for the accused.
Evidence was collected from the crime scene, and efforts began to recover the weapon used in the crime.

The DCP further revealed that the Kalka police team conducted raids in Uttar Pradesh and succeeded in arresting the main accused, Anil Kumar alias Lallu, 42, son of Ram Babu, also a resident of Etah district.
According to the information, Anil had been hiding in Kasganj district.
The accused was produced before the court today and has been remanded to four days of police custody. Intensive interrogation is now underway to trace the other suspects and recover the weapon of offence.
