Kamya leads after Round 3 at chess meet

Kamya Kumari was in the lead in the open category after Round 3 on the inaugural day of the 13th Chandigarh Chess Academy Open & Children Prize Money Chess Festival, at Chandigarh Baptist School, Sector 45. Ishmeet Singh followed at the second position and Swastik Singhal third.

In the U-14 category, Amogh Agrawal scored the maximum points to secure the lead followed by Paras Kalia and Aaditya Pajni. In the open U-10 category, Prabhav Atwal was placed on the top. He was closely followed by Madhav Garg and Advay Nayyar.

A total of 130 players from various states of the North India are competing across these categories. Forty-one of them are internationally rated players. As many as 39 prizes will be awarded, with a cash prize pool of Rs 65,000.
