Karnataka’s Sana Sesh Varadhamani Rajan moved into the girls’ U-18 main draw by ousting Sanya Dwivedi of Uttar Pradesh 6-0, 6-0 during the CLTA-AITA National Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 tennis complex.

Fifth seed Haryana’s Reet Arora also moved ahead by registering an easy 6-2, 6-4 win over Devanshee Nikhil Prabhudesai of Maharatsra, and Punjab’s Rabiah Dullet defeated Rasnum Kaur 6-0, 6-2. Local challenger Khushman V also moved ahead by defeating Punjab’s Kritika Sharma 6-2, 6-4.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ U-18 category, top seed Haryana’s Aryan Chauhan struggled a bit before logging a 7-6 (2), 6-1 win over Pyush Arjun Jadhav. Chandigarh’s Second seed Ribhav Saroha also moved ahead by defeating Aarav Bishnoi 6-1, 6-2, while ninth seed Aarya Vaibhav Nigam stunned third seed Karen Singh by logging a straight sets 6-2, 6-1 win to qualify for the main draw. Parmarth Kaushik also came up with a stunning game to topple fourth seed Punjab’s Mahijith Singh Kaura 6-3, 6-2, while Charchit Boora outplayed Punjab’s Soraab Singh Dhillon 6-3, 7-6(6). Heet Kandoriya of Gujarat also marched into the next round.
