Chandigarh: Kendriya Vidyalaya Pathankot win handball meet

Chandigarh, July 22

Kendriya Vidyalaya Pathankot (No. 3) won the girls’ U-14 handball title by defeating Kendriya Vidyalaya, 3BRD, Chandigarh, during the 53rd Regional Sports Meet at the KV 3BRD, Air Force Station, Chandigarh. The team of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mullanpur, claimed the third position.

In the U-17 category, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mullanpur, claimed the first position, followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya, Adampur (No.1) at second and KV Pathankot (No. 3) at third position. The girls’ U-14 basketball team of Kendriya Vidyalaya High Grounds won the title by defeating Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hussainpur. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Suranassi, and Kendriya Vidyalaya (No. 4), Pathankot, claimed the third and fourth position, respectively.

The Hussainpur team won the U-17 title, followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya (No. 3), Bathinda, High Grounds and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Halwara (No. 4) at second, third and four positions.

Chairman, Air Cmdr Rajeev Shrivastava, VSM, Gp Capt Manpreet Gill, Gp Capt Yogesh and Sqd Ldr Abhay Singh Tomar awarded the winners.
