To streamline business regulations and enhance ease of doing business in the city, the second meeting on the compliance reduction and de-regulation exercise initiated by the Cabinet Secretariat was convened at the UT Secretariat here today.

The meeting, which was convened by Deputy Commissioner-cum-Secretary Industries Nishant Kumar Yadav, was co-chaired by SCL Das, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, and Rajiv Verma, UT Chief Secretary. Das has been given the responsibility for driving the de-regulation exercise for Chandigarh with the Cabinet Secretariat.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that of the 23 priority areas, 22 have been submitted to the Task Force by the Chandigarh Administration. Of the submitted priority areas, 15 have been recommended by the Task Force to the Cabinet Secretariat.
