Kharar, February 15
Sangam Kaushal, a resident of Kharar, ranked second in in the Punjab Civil Services (Judicial) examination, the result of which was declared on Friday.
His father LR Kaushal, former district attorney, used to reside in Kharar and moved to Chandigarh a few years ago.
Sangam did his BALLB (Honours) from UILS, Panjab University, in 2015. “For a young lawyer, courts are the best place to get exposure, learn about profession and understand nuances of law. I dealt with a few criminal matters during this time. When I had no case, I used to observe the court proceedings. I tried to maintain a balance between practicing and judicial exam preparation,” he said.
Sangam added “In my first attempt, I missed out by 10 marks. This was my second attempt. I thank God for everything and give all the credit to my family, ” said Sangam.
