Kids in UT colonies have a field day with pizzas

Kids in various colonies in the city, including Sector 25, Dhanas and Sarangpur, had a field day when UT SSP Nilambari Jagdale reached their doorstep to cheer them during the curfew restrictions today. Pizzas were also distributed in the areas by the police.
A team of UT cops, led by the SSP, reached the colonies with pizzas, masks and sanitisers, which were distributed among the children in the colony.
They were educated about keeping their hands clean to keep themselves safe from the spread of Covid-19.
The SSP said being a mother, she understood that children got bored sitting at home for so many days. “I wanted to cheer them up, so I decided to treat them with pizzas,” she said.
DSP Jaswinder Singh of the UT police also went to Sector 23 and distributed soaps and food among vagabonds.
Teams, led by the SHO of the Sector 17 police station, the SHO of the Sector 11 police station and the SHO of the Sarangpur police station, also visited colony areas to distribute food and sanitisers among the children.
“We will continue our efforts to provide food to more such needy people who are facing difficulties in getting food due to the curfew in the city,” the SSP said.
