Mohali, December 24

The administration has cancelled the licences of four immigration firms and suspended the licences of another four firms found without valid documents recently.

Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia directed all Sub Divisional Magistrates and police officers to take strict action against fake travel agents.

Officials said a list of 471 registered travel agents had been uploaded on the official website of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district.

Under the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act, 2012, passed by the Punjab Government, licences are issued to consultants, travel agencies, coaching institutes of IELTS, ticketing agents and general sales agents.
