Light & sound show on Guru’s sacrifice in Mohali on Nov 11

As part of the series of events commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur, the state government would organise a light and sound show at Saras Mela Ground in Sector 88 here on November 11.

The show will portray the unparalleled sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru.

“The event is open to all devotees and the general public,” said Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, adding that adequate arrangements for seating, lighting and parking had been made for the convenience of the attendees.

Cabinet Minister for Technical Education, Industrial Training, School Education and Higher Education and Languages Harjot Singh Bains, along with Anandpur Sahib MP Malvinder Singh Kang, will attend the event.

Mittal has asked MC Commissioner Parminder Pal Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal to coordinate with GMADA to ensure that the ground was prepared to receive the gathering.

She furhter added that duties had been assigned to different departments to ensure the smooth conduct of the event and to provide a comfortable and dignified experience to all devotees.
