Presentation, display of prototype
Chandigarh: The Technology Enabling Centre in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UIET, organised a ‘Poster presentation and display of prototype’ event for the final year students for showcasing their final year projects. Final year students of BTech exhibited their projects, along with posters on pin boards, for evaluation by the faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department and external evaluators. Electric kick scooter, autonomous fixed wing UAV, fastener sorting machine, automation of the process of covering trucks by tarpaulin and UV sanitisation machine were among projects displayed by students. 2-day symposium inaugurated
Chandigarh: Prof Sudhir Kumar, Director, Research and Development, inaugurated a two-day symposium. This symposium is being organised by Panjab University and Vidya Bharti Uchch Shikshan Sansthan in association with the Centre of Educational and Social Studies, Bangalore; Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI); Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI); and Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management on the title “Assimilating India knowledge system in commerce and business education: Mandate of NEP 2020”. CHASCON 2022-logo design contest
Chandigarh: Rashmita Subba, a student of the Government Home Science College, Sector 10, won the CHASCON-2022 logo design competition. The logo was designed on VIBGYOR pattern having the symbol of Chandigarh. It symbolises various holistic approaches and amalgamation of several disciplines of science and technology towards growth and development. TNS
White Coat ceremony at Rayat Bahra
Mohali: Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital held White Coat ceremony for its 2022 BDS batch. The chief guest was Dr Puneet Girdhar, Joint Director, Medical Education and Research, Punjab. Dr SS Gill, Dean, Medical Sciences, Rayat Bahra University, and faculty members were present on the occasion. All students took hippocratic oath before being honoured with white coats by Dr Vimal Kalia, Principal, Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital and chief guest. Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, RBU, said this ceremony was a tradition followed in all dental colleges.
