Chandigarh skaters won laurels in a recently concluded national event. The local girls’ inline team won the gold medal in the 62nd National Roller Skating Championship in Coimbatore. In the final, the local eves defeated Punjab 2-1, and before setting the title clash the local side overpowered Haryana 4-1. The squad comprised Avantika, Jasnoor Kaur, Diya Gupta, Disha Gupta, Inayat Kaur, Smaira Kalia, Swastika Jain, Tanvi Verma, Rubayat Kamra, Japnoor Kaur, Ashkjeet Kaur and Eknoor Sahota.

Meanwhile, the girls’ quads team won the silver medal in the same championship. In the semifinal, the local team defeated Tamil Nadu. However, in the final, the local eves went down against Punjab.
