Local teams log win in softball meet

Jammu & Kashmir girls defeated Bihar 14-02, while Chandigarh posted a 12-0 win over Goa in the 43rd Junior Softball Championship being organised by Chandigarh Softball Association at Panjab University.

Kerala defeated Bihar 10-0, Rajasthan ousted Odisha 5-0 and Haryana outplayed Puducherry 10-0. In the pre-quarterfinals, Telangana edge past Delhi 6-5, Chandigarh beat West Bengal 10-0, Rajasthan recorded a 7-0 win over Himachal and Chhattisgarh beat Odisha 2-1. Madhya Pradesh registered a 2-0 win over Tamil Nadu, Haryana beat Maharashtra 3-1. In the boys’ category, Kerala beat Goa 8-1, Rajasthan overpowered Puducherry 5-0 and Tamil Nadu beat Bihar 13-0. Uttarakhand recorded a 14-4 win over West Bengal, Delhi beat HP 4-0 and Chhattisgarh recorded a 10-0 win over Tamil Nadu. Punjab lads blanked West Bengal 15-0, Telangana beat Delhi and Odhisha recorded a 10-0 win over Jharkhand.
