n the opening day of the third Fast-Five National Netball Championship organised by the Netball Sports Promotion Association, Chandigarh, under the aegis of the Netball Federation of India, Chandigarh defeated Arunachal Pradesh 29-17 to march into the men’s quarterfinals round at the Panjab University sports grounds.

Delhi lads also moved ahead by defeating Bihar 25-14 and Haryana ousted Jammu & Kashmir team 21-15. Kerala defeated Madhya Pradesh 40-14, Rajasthan outplayed Assam 29-13 and Maharashtra defeated Puducherry 28-26. In the last pre-quarterfinal, Chhattisgarh defeated Telangana 25-22.

Meanwhile, in the women’s pre-quarterfinals, the local contenders defeated Bihar 25-21, and Uttarakhand also moved to the quarterfinals by defeating Uttar Pradesh 23-16. Rajasthan defeated Karnataka 26-15 and Himachal Pradesh outplayed Maharashtra 25-19. Haryana also moved into the next round by defeating Madhya Pradesh 20-11.
