Police launched a murder probe and booked a Lohgarh resident and 12 others for allegedly stabbing a 25-year-old Zirakpur youth near Patiala Chowk. According to the information, the accused, Simu, is absconding. He is already facing rioting charges in connection with an incident that took place at a Zirakpur hotel in July.

On Friday night, 25-year-old Akashdeep Singh, a native of Gurdaspur, was stabbed to death by a mob near the traffic police beat box at the Zirakpur-Patiala chowk.
