Lyricist Jaani Johan, 2 others hurt in Mohali car crash

Lyricist and music composer Jaani Johan and two others were injured when the SUV they were travelling in hit another car at the traffic lights near Sector 88 this evening.
Both vehicles flipped twice before landing upside down around 7.30 pm. Cops said the vehicles apparently failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into each other.
The 33-year-old lyricist from Gidderbaha and two other occupants were taken to a private hospital in Mohali, while passengers of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Sohana SHO Gurjit Singh said the victims had already been taken to the hospital when the police arrived. The cops were ascertaining the identity of those driving the vehicles. No case has been registered till now. Janni is a known name in the Punjabi music industry having penned lyrics for songs such as “Naah”, “Kya Baat Ay”, “Pachtaoge”, “Filhall”, “Titliyaan”, “Baarish Ki Jaaye” and “Filhaal2 Mohabbat”, for B Praak, Harrdy Sandhu and other popular singers. — TNS
