Madhup Tiwari appointed Chandigarh Director General of Police

Chandigarh, February 9

Madhup Kumar Tiwari, a 1995 batch IPS officer, AGMUT cadre, will be the new UT DGP, replacing Praveer Ranjan, a 1993-batch officer.

Tiwari’s transfer orders were issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday.

He was earlier posted in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Praveer Ranjan has been transferred to CISF as Additional Director.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
