Mahadev, Striker clubs win titles in softball

Mahadev Club defeated Friends Club 3-1 to win the boys’ sub-junior title on the concluding day of the 41st Sub-Junior and Junior State Softball Championship at the Sector 13 Sports Complex.

Striker Club won the girls’ sub-junior final by defeating NFC 2-0. Earlier, in the semifinals, NFC defeated Mission Club 5-0 and Striker Club ousted Sacred Heart team 6-5. In the boys’ junior final, Striker Club defeated Mahadev Club.

In the semis, Chandigarh Coaching Centre went down 0-1 against Striker Club, while Mission Club faced a 4-8 defeat against Mahadev Club. Striker Club won the girls’ junior final by defeating Mission Club 1-0.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
