Mahika Khanna logged a stunning comeback win over Sara Yadav of Madhya Pradesh to storm into the women’s semifinals during the ongoing CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship for Men & Women. Mahika lost the first set 3-6, but only to comeback with a 6-4, 6-3 win in the next two sets to confirm her position in the semis.

Delhi’s Samriti Punyani also moved into the next round by defeating Gujarat’s Saily Prashantkumar Thakkar 6-2, 7-6(3) and Adithi Are of Telangana outplayed Bhumika Dahiya 6-4, 6-4. Second seed Pooja Ingale easily defeated Assam’s Snigdha Patibandla 6-1, 6-1

In the men’s category, Debasish Sahoo of Odisha outplayed Maharashtra’s Omar Rehan Sumer 6-3, 6-2. Atharva Sharma also moved ahead by defeating Prasad Ingale 6-0, 6-2 and Manipur’s Shanker Heisnam improved from a set down to defeat Jagmeet Singh 5-7, 6-2, 6-1. Sandesh D Kurale won the last match by defeating Shubh Negi 6-1, 6-0.
