The Kalka police arrested a 34-year-old man found in possession of 200 grams of charas (hashish) near Shri Radhey Shyam Gaushala on January 10

Following a tip-off, a police team, led by Sub-Inspector Parvinder Singh, laid a trap and apprehended the suspect, Rohit, a resident of Housing Board Colony, Kalka, and owner of a dhaba.

Apart from charas, the police recovered Rs 1,020, suspected to be drug money, and a mobile phone from him.

A case has been registered under Section 20 of the NDPS Act. The police stated that the suspect admitted to sourcing charas from Himachal Pradesh and selling it in Kalka.
