Bihar native sent to one-day police remand

The police have arrested a Bihar native, Kanhiya Lal (22), for allegedly raping a 15-year-old minor of Aerocity. He was residing at Ram Darbar in Chandigarh. The police said the minor was missing for more than a week. When she returned home, her family came to know about her ordeal. Kanhiya Lal was produced in the court and sent to one-day police remand.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
