Man injured as O2 cylinder explodes at Mohali hospital



Mohali, July 22

A person suffered injuries after an oxygen cylinder exploded at a private hospital here this evening.

The impact of the blast was so intense that windowpanes of the hospital building were also shattered. The cylinder exploded due to gas leakage.

According to information, Satwinder Singh, a resident of Kharar and supervisor of the hospital, suffered injuries. His limbs suffered a fracture in the blast. He is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The police and fire brigade officials said they had no information about the incident. According to information, Satwinder was sitting near the security guard area. He had already reported the gas leakage to the department concerned of the hospital. No case has been registered. — TNS
