A biker died and pillion rider was seriously injured in a head-on collision with another bike near the Indus International hospital on the Ambala-Chandigarh national highway around 7:30 pm on Thursday.

In a complaint to the police, Jaswinder Singh, a resident of Devinagar, stated that he, along with Bunty Saini, was going towards Lalru. When they reached the Jawaharpur turn, a motorcycle coming from the Indus Hospital side collided with their bike.

He and Bunty fell down and sustained severe injuries. The other biker was also injured. Passersby rushed them to a hospital where the doctors declared Bunty dead.

On the statement of Jaswinder, the police have booked the other biker, Mandeep Singh Kashyap of Bibipur village in Ambala, for rash and negligent driving. — TNS
