Chandigarh: A person died in a case of hit-and-run. Complainant Bhushan, a resident of Sector 38, reported that his nephew Hardeep Kumar was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the road from Dhanas to Togan. The victim was rushed to the GMSH in Sector 16 where he was declared brought dead. A case has been registered at the Sarangpur police station.

Immigration agent booked

Chandigarh: An immigration consultant has been booked by the Chandigarh Police for cheating. In her complaint to the police, a woman resident of Patiala had stated that Vikas Sharma, the owner of Immigration Solution, along with others, allegedly duped her of around Rs 41.50 lakh on the pretext of sending her abroad on study visa. A case has been registered.

Juvenile held for stabbing

Chandigarh: A juvenile has been apprehended by the Chandigarh Police for stabbing a Hallo Majra resident. Complainant Sonu Kumar Yadav reported that an unidentified person stabbed him with a knife near his house. He sustained injuries in the attack and was admitted to the GMCH-32. A case was registered. During a probe into the case, the police apprehended a juvenile.

Mime contest
