Chandigarh: A resident of Progressive Society, Sector 50-B, Sharanjeet Singh, has lost ~45.59 lakh in an online investment scam allegedly perpetrated by a fraudulent group, AQR Capital Trading Titans Talk. The matter is under investigation. A case under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the IPC has been registered at the cybercrime police station. TNS

Chandigarh: Jagir Singh of Sector 51 has reported that Ajit Singh and others cheated him out of ~45 lakh on the pretext of sending his daughter-in-law to the US after her marriage to his son. Landran college swimmers shine

Mohali: The swimming team of CGC Landran have won 12 medals in an inter-college Tournament held in Ludhiana. The team bagged five gold medals - two silver medals and five bronze medals. Vinay bagged five gold medals in the 50m butterfly, 200m breaststroke, 200m freestyle and 400m free style events. He also won silver in the 50m freestyle and bronze in the 4x100m freestyle relay. Kapil won silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 200m breaststroke. The freestyle relay team comprising Gaurav Tiwari, Danish, Harshit and Vinay bagged bronze. TNS
