Panchkula, July 13
The police have booked a brick-kiln worker after he allegedly stabbed his daughter during an argument with his wife. The suspect has been identified as Kallu, a resident of Shamli in UP.
In a complaint to the police, his wife Deepika stated that she and her husband worked at a brick-kiln in Paploha village, Kalka. She said Kallu started drinking alcohol in the morning on July 11 and got into an argument with her.
“Scared, my daughter clung to me. He picked up a knife and attempted to attack me, but stabbed my daughter instead,” she said. She said her husband fled after the incident and she took her injured daughter to a government hospital in Kalka from where she was referred to the PGI.
A case has been registered at the Kalka police station.
