Chandigarh, August 6
The Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) authorities said today that different areas of Mani Majra would start getting 24x7 water supply by August 28 in a phased-manner.
According to the CSCL, during these dates, residents of Mani Majra may experience erratic supply and low water pressure, which will gradually improve.
“The area of Manimajra has been strategically divided into four distinct zones for final settings and connections to the new water supply network,” said the smart city authorities in a press statement.
The connections to new water supply system will commence in this order: August 7 to 12 in areas comprising Shanti Nagar, Madiwala Town, Peepliwala Town, Bank Colony and Police Colony. August 13 to 18 in areas comprising Old Darshani Bagh, Samadhi Gate area, Gobindpura, Churi market, Main Market and Old Ropar road. August 19 to 23 in areas comprising Subhash Nagar, Indira Colony, Motor Market and Shivalik Enclave.
August 24 to 28, in areas comprising MHC, Duplex house, Rajiv Vihar and Uppal Marble Society. — TNS
