May Day celebrated at Rayat Bahra

International Labour Day was celebrated at the Rayat Bahra University here today. To mark the occasion, a special programme was organised through video conferencing where tributes were paid to the martyrs of Chicago.
Speaking on the occasion Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, said May Day is a celebration of labourers and the working classes, promoted by the International Labour Movement.
The university recognises the valuable contribution of labourers towards development, he said.
Dr Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the university, thanked employees and appreciated the hard work of workers.
