Maya Garden builder booked for cheating

The police have booked Maya Garden builder Saosh Jindal, MD of Barnala Builders and Property Consultant, for cheating and forgery of flat-related documents of a former IAF personnel, Daljit Rai Arora.

Arora (75) has alleged that he paid the initial amount for a 3BHK flat in 2012. He later upgraded it to 4BHK and paid all the remaining amount by June 2016. When the builder did not provided him with the possession of the flat, the former approached the court where he submitted the original documents. It was found that the builder had reportedly submitted fake and forged documents of the ownership of the flat to the court.

Arora said he was feeling harassed as the case was shuttling between the Mohal and Chandigarh police with separate police stations taking turns to investigate the matter.

A case under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 471, IPC, was registered at the Sector 49.
