Chandigarh MC Chief Engineer denied extension

The Municipal Corporation has not extended the deputation period of Chief Engineer Sanjay Arora.

Arora was sent to the MC on deputation by the administration in October 2024 and given the charge of Chief Engineer. His one-year extension period ended on October 23.

He has served in New Delhi MC as Chief Engineer for two years on deputation.

Meanwhile, Harmohinder Singh Lucky, president of the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee, in a statement issued here today, criticised the decision on not extending Arora’s deputation tenure. He said the BJP wanted every honest officer to act as its puppet and support its wrong and arbitrary decisions. The Congress stands firmly with all honest officers, he said.
