Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma requested all councillors to participate in the month-long Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched on May 20 and get their areas free from waste and malba till June 19.

The committee discussed the door-to-door waste collection of garbage issue of Sector 21 and asked the MOH to bring an agenda about this after seeking legal opinion into this matter.

The committee decided that the chairman of the Sanitation Committee and the MOH would hold a meeting with the representatives of the door-to-door waste collectors of Sector 21 and sort out the issue at the earliest.

The committee members pointed out that sub-inspectors of the Sanitation Department will ensure waste collection from first, second, third and fourth floors of households by waste collectors to avoid complaints from citizens.

The committee asked Chief Sanitary Inspectors (CSIs) concerned to ensure proper feedback from citizens/households regarding door-to-door waste collection system.
