The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation will to link salary of its employees with Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) from June 1. This will cover all MC employees, including regular, contractual, outsourced and field staff. The decision was taken in a review meeting held today under the chairmanship of MC Commissioner Amit Kumar.

All employees must register on AEBAS of the NIC. Attendance will be marked using NIC’s facial authentication via AadhaarBAS/AadhaarFaceRD mobile application on personal smartphones.
