MC water supply committee for underground utility mapping

The water supply and sewerage disposal committee of the Municipal Corporation asked for proper mapping of underground utilities, including water supply and sewer lines, along with stormwater drainage system, in a meeting here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of councillor Anil Kumar Dubey.
Members of the committee recommended that there should be a provision of five succession machines for sewage cleaning in the public health wing and asked the officers concerned to prepare an agenda item for the House meeting. The members asked the engineers to provide sufficient fuel in all tube wells to run the generator sets during power shutdowns.
The committee directed that a location should be identified to provide tube well at Faidan village and estimate be put up in the next meeting.
The committee gave its approval to providing and laying of 6” i/d DI pipeline from existing tube well booster at Sector 31-D to existing CI pipeline to improve water pressure near the Sector 31-C police station at an estimated cost of Rs 22.21 lakh.
It also approved the installation of 160 KV diesel generator set, along with dewatering pumps and allied works contingent thereto, at the Kajauli waterworks at an estimated cost of Rs 24.94 lakh. — TNS
