Chandigarh, December 28
Two-day first virtual international conference on recent advances in minimal invasive endoscopic spine surgery concluded here today. The 9th World Endoscopic Spine Surgery Conference & Endoscopic Spine Surgery Workshop 2020 was held virtually in which experts from the country and abroad participated.
It was organised by Trinity Hospital under the aegis of the World Endoscopic Spine Surgery Society (WESS) and the Trinity Education & Research Foundation. A hand-on workshop was conducted on endoscopic discectomy, lumbar canal decompression and percutaneous spinal fixation, which was attended by 40 international delegates.
Dr Mohinder Kaushal, a leading endoscopic spine, knee and sports surgeon, and Medical Director, Trinity Hospital, said the benefits of endoscopic spine surgery over open spine surgery were small cuts, less hospital stay, less medicines, faster recovery and quick return to normal life activity. — TNS
