The U-14 team of Minerva Academy added another feather to their cap by winning the All-India Khemkaran Football Cup in Taran Taran.

The young Minervans demonstrated exceptional teamwork throughout the tournament, outshining their opponents to emerge victorious. The tournament featured strong teams from Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, including I-League side Namdhari FC and formidable opponents like Chandigarh Football Association. Despite this tough competition, the side rose to the challenge, showcasing their exceptional talent and determination to secure the title.

Minerva Academy FC’s journey to the title began with a convincing 3-0 win against Bharat FC, with Kopgen, Haokip, and Zingyo scoring a goal each. The team’s momentum continued as they faced Gurdaspur and Anandpur in their next matches. Despite being tough opponents, Minerva held their ground, securing 1-1 draw in both matches, with Haokip and Ruata scoring the goals respectively.

The team’s confidence soared as they took on Haryana Baarsi and recorded a 4-1 victory. Kipgen scored two goals, while Zingyo and Yaiphaba added one each to the tally.

The final clash against Khemkaran was a highly anticipated match, with a large crowd cheering on the teams. Minerva Academy FC’s determination and grit shone through as they secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory, with Zingyo scoring the winning goal.
