Minister inaugurates state-level youth fest in Panchkula
The event is being organised by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship
Haryana’s Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar inaugurated a three-day state-level Yuva Mahotsav (Youth Festival) 2025 by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5 today. The event, organised by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, brings together young participants from across the state to celebrate talent, innovation and cultural unity.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest on the occasion, Panwar said, “Haryana’s achievements are being recognised not only across India, but across the world.” He emphasised that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state was witnessing unprecedented progress in every sector. He praised the dedication and determination of the youth, noting that Haryana’s daughters were excelling nationally and internationally by winning medals and bringing pride to the state.
Panwar highlighted that India was the world’s youngest nation, describing this demographic strength as a blessing. He urged young people to link their aspirations with the nation’s development. Just as youth played a pivotal role during the freedom struggle, he said, today’s youth could shape India into a developed nation by 2047 through skills, innovation, technology, sports, arts and entrepreneurship.
Before beginning of the programme, Panwar visited departmental stalls and exhibitions and also released the book “Yuva Samvad”.
While addressing participants during the programme, Haryana’s Minister for Sports, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Gaurav Gautam called the festival cultural a confluence organised to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he said, “The youth possess limitless energy and can change the course of history through determination.”
Gautam noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047 aligns with the festival’s theme, Viksit Bharat, Viksit Yuva (Developed India, Developed Youth). He emphasised that today’s youth seek direction, leadership and purpose.
The event was attended by Shivalik Board Vice-Chairman Om Prakash Devingar, former Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, former Haryana Child Welfare Council General Secretary Ranjeeta Mehta and several other dignitaries.
