Minister, MLAs mourn death of Sardool Sikander

Fatehgarh Sahib, February 24
As soon as the news about the passing away of renowned Punjabi singer Sardool Sikander, who breathed his last today after a brief illness spread, his friends, fans, admirers and folk singers thronged his native village Kheri Naud Singh in the Bassi Pathana constituency falling in Faterhgarh Sahib district.
Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot along with Fatehgarh Sahib and Bassi Pathana MLAs Kuljit Nagra and Gurpreet Singh GP, respectively, expressed grief over the demise of singer. Sikander is survived by his wife and two sons.
The minister and MLAs described Sardool Sikander as a versatile singer, who would be remembered for his contribution to Punjabi singing. Sikander was born in Kheri Naud Singh village and had migrated to Khanna in Ludhiana district.
