Minister orders action against Kharar JE over discrepancies

The Minister examined official records during a surprise visit at the the Kharar Electricity Office which revealed certain discrepancies

Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today conducted a surprise inspection of the Kharar Electricity Office where he obtained feedback from consumers who had come for various services regarding the office’s functioning.

The Minister also examined official records, which revealed certain discrepancies. Consequently, he ordered both the transfer and chargesheeting of Kharar Junior Engineer Jatinder Singh. Besides, he instructed the officials to issue show-cause notice to SDO, Kharar.

Singh stressed that corruption of any kind will not be tolerated in the department. He urged the people to register complaints related to corruption in the Power department on WhatsApp no. 9501200200, assuring that if any state resident sends him a complaint regarding corruption in the Power department, he would ensure action within 24 hours.
