The police successfully reunited an eight-year-old girl with her family on Wednesday as part of “Operation Muskaan”. According to the police, the young girl had left her home in Old Panchkula after being scolded by her mother and wandered to Sector 6. Upon receiving the report, the police immediately alerted all local stations and initiated a search. Once found, the girl was safely returned to her family after completing the necessary formalities.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Rajesh Kumar and Woman Constable Chinki, stationed at the Sector 7 police station, played a crucial role in locating and safely returning the missing child.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Himadri Kaushik emphasised that “Operation Muskaan” is a significant initiative aimed at ensuring the safety and rehabilitation of missing children by reuniting them with their families as quickly as possible.

The police department further also urged the public to immediately report any suspicious activity or missing persons to the nearest police station for prompt action.
