MLA launches Rs 98L sewerage project

MLA Fatehgarh Sahib Lakhbir Singh Rai laid the foundation stone of a sewerage project in Sirhind City on Friday. He said that this project, worth Rs 98.42 lakh, will be completed soon, ensuring better sewage facilities for the town. He further assured that the year 2025 will be observed as the year of development, with all possible efforts to enhance the basic facilities for the residents of Sirhind city.

He also announced an allocation of Rs 1 crore for the installation of street lights to improve the lighting in the city. Apart from this, the Punjab Government has approved Rs.5 crore for the development of the constituency, ushering in a new era of development in the constituency. The MLA further announced that toilets will be constructed at various places across, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for women.

To support local vendors, he said that cegetable vendors will be moved to a new site with proper facilities. Several dignitaries including Deepak Batish, Jasbir Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Harjinder Kumar, Amit Sharma, r were also present on the occasion.
