SSP Deepak Pareek today launched a modern police beat box on the Airport Road. It is equipped with CCTV cameras and flashing light

The SSP said it was the second such unit. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ropar Range, Harcharan Singh Bhullar had inaugurated the first modern beat box at Majri a few days ago. Such modern beat boxes will soon come up at Chhat light point, Airport Chowk and Zirakpur. He said the CCTVs would help check traffic violations, handle accident cases and keep a watch on bad elements.
