Surprise check at grain market

Chandigarh: The Medical Officer of Health, MC, on Sunday conducted a surprise check at the grain market in Sector 26 and the slaughterhouse in Industrial Area. The officer, Dr Amrit Pal Warring, said he found several anomolies there. He directed the staff to maintain hygiene and cleanliness at the slaughterhouse. He also asked the people working there to follow all norms. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
