Mohali admn to implement revised collector rates from October 23

The revised collector rates will be implemented from October 23 across Mohali district, administration officials said today.

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal disclosed that the new rates have been rationalised after detailed consultation with stakeholders to ensure that property transactions reflect realistic market values and to facilitate smooth registration processes.

Mittal chaired the monthly review meeting of the Revenue Department to assess the ongoing works and monitor the progress of key initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and transparency in land and revenue administration.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress under the Svamitva Scheme, the status of mutation pendency, and the performance of the Revenue Court Management System. She emphasised the timely preparation, consignment, and live update of Jamabandis, besides reviewing recoveries under Section 47-A and court cases pending at the level of SDMs and tehsildars. The progress of recoveries by CROs and redressal of citizen complaints received through WhatsApp were also discussed in detail.

The Deputy Commissioner further examined issues related to infrastructure improvement in revenue offices, updation of cadastral maps, and the inspection reports submitted by the ADC (G), SDMs, and CROs for the previous month. Matters concerning rapat entries in Jamabandis under 3A and 3D notifications, mutation entries and approvals in favour of NHAI (MoRTH), and verification of valuation of trees, pipelines and structures by Patwaris were also deliberated upon. The progress of segment-wise Khasra mapping and other miscellaneous administrative matters was likewise reviewed.
