Mohali Civil Surgeon directs officials to speed up disease management drive
To ensure 100% coverage of all individuals aged 30 years and above, Civil Surgeon Dr Sangeeta Jain directed senior health officials to speed up ongoing non-communicable diseases campaign in the district.
The drive, which is running from February 20 to March 31 aims to ensure 100 per cent coverage of individuals aged 30 years and above to detect and manage non-communicable diseasessuch as diabetes, hypertension, and three common cancers - oral, breast, and cervical.
Addressing a review meeting of program officers and senior medical officers, she said that village health nutrition and sanitation committees have already been constituted to take their help in the drive, which should be utilized to the most.
She asked officials to maximise efforts for complete eradication of tuberculosis till the end of 2025 and gave directions to provide quality treatment to the tuberculosis patients.
